So with the great news that we can begin teaching again from the 4th July, theory tests are to re start also from the 4th and practical tests will resume from the 22nd we have put in place some new procedures.
Below are the new rules & procedures that we will be using to help protect both our pupils and staff.
For the foreseeable future we will no longer be offering 1 hour lessons, this is to help us limit the amount of pupils in our vehicles on any one day.
At the start of each lesson before you enter the vehicle your instructor will ask you a couple of health related questions to check that you or anyone you have been in contact with isn’t showing any symptoms of the virus. If you or your instructor feel unwell or unsure then the lesson will not go ahead and no charge will be made for the lesson.
At the start of each lesson before you enter the vehicle your instructor will clean all touchable surfaces including things like the steering wheel, gearstick, handbrake, door handles, dashboard and seats. This will be done whilst pupils watch so they can make sure they are happy to enter the vehicle.
Both pupils and instructors will use hand sanitiser before swapping seats to start the lesson. This will be provided by your instructor.
Both pupils and instructors will need to wear clothing that covers as much skin as possible, so NO shorts, tee shirts, skirts, vest tops etc etc.
Windows will be left slightly open during lessons to help with ventilation. (Pupils with long hair may need to tie their hair up so that it isn’t blowing across their faces and causing any distractions).
Gloves and face masks are not mandatory but should pupils wish to use their own this is fine but pupils will need to provide them.
Should the Government or DVSA add any further restrictions or advice we will update you ASAP.
